Osmo Kontula

Osmo Kontula, Ph.D., is a Research Professor at the Population Research Institute of the Family Federation of Finland. He has authored more than 400 publications, of which more than 50 have are books have been authored or edited by him, and about 120 book chapters. His research topics have included national and international trends in sexual values and patterns and sexual life styles, sexual relationships, sexual initiation, teenage sexual health, sexuality education, sexology profession, family policy, demographic transitions, and couple relationships and divorces.
Osmo Kontula is a full member of the International Academy of Sex Research (IASR). He is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Sex Research (JSR), Past President of the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality (SSSS), and a Member of Advisory Committee and a Chair of Sexuality Education Committee in the World Association for Sexual Health (WAS).
